Georgie Shore star Holly Hagan has revealed a health issue she has been “suffering” from for the past several years.
Hagan, 31, has been living with hearing loss, leaving her unable to keep up with conversations, which has made her feel “embarrassed” and “so much anxiety.”
“I’ve worked so hard to decipher conversations and always felt embarrassed asking people to repeat themselves,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I could tune into family but struggled with new voices in busy environments, often coming across as rude or uninterested.”
She said the pandemic made her hearing struggles worse as she “realised I lip read and masks make it 10x harder.”

Having been fitted with hearing aids, Hagan admitted they felt “overwhelming but incredible.”
“I’m starting at 70% to let my brain adapt,” she said.
She spoke of the “stigma around hearing aids” explaining, “If you can’t see properly, you wear glasses regardless of age, premature hearing loss can happen for many reasons.”
The reality TV star shared her health update on Instagram ahead of an appointment at Boots Hearing in the UK, with a video and long post explaining her situation.

In the video we see her driving to the appointment with husband, English footballer Jacob Blyth, by her side.
She speaks of her excitement at having her hearing issues addressed.
When Hagan arrives at the appointment, she is checked by the doctor and undergoes a hearing test in a booth.

She is then fitted with hearing aids, which she is clearly impressed with.
She later explains they feature Bluetooth so she doesn’t need to use headphones anymore.
Hagan ended her post by encouraging others struggling with hearing loss to “get it checked”, adding, “[It’s] honestly so worth it, my only regret is not doing this sooner.”
Hagan was one of the original cast members of MTV’s Georgie Shore.
Hagan and Blyth were married in Ibiza on June 6, 2022 and the couple shares one child, son Alpha-Jax, born in June 2023.
