Akon has been stunning crowds during his recent European tour with a bizarre stunt, which recently went horribly wrong.
The Lonely hitmaker has been climbing into a gigantic hamster ball and then throwing himself into the crowd to crowd surf.
But during a recent gig in Newcastle in the United Kingdom, the stunt didn’t go to plan and instead of floating on top of the audience, the ball quickly dropped to the ground, with the moment going viral on social media.

A TikTok clip from the concert shared by mimzzxm showed the moment the singer leapt into the crowd in the bubble.
But with so many phones in the air to capture the wild moment, the crowd wasn’t ready to keep in the air.
“POV: Akon watching his idea fail in real time,” read the text over the video.

Slowly the bubble fell to the arena floor, in a spectacular fail.
“The crowd had one job,” the clip was captioned.
The post has been flooded with thousands of comments, with people stunned by the move.
“Did he think that the ball made him weightless?” commented one person.
Another replied, “Best one yet. Just keeps getting funnier.”
Others pointed out that if so many people at the front didn’t have their phones out, the stunt would have worked a lot better.
