The Los Angeles Lakers just concluded a marvelous month of March in which they went from an inconsistent, suspect team to one that is starting to look downright scary. They went 15-2 during March, and overall, they have won 16 of their last 18 games, which has put them on the verge of claiming the Western Conference’s third seed.
This hot streak has coincided with a personal hot streak by Luka Doncic. In March, he reached the 40-point mark seven times, and he has now scored at least 30 points in 13 straight games.

As a result, he finished the month with exactly 600 points. That made him the only player in NBA history, other than Michael Jordan, to post that many points in March.
In March 1987, Jordan scored a total of 676 points in 19 games, which translates to an average of 35.6 points a game. In March of this year, Doncic put up 37.5 points per contest while shooting 49.2% from the field and 39.2% from 3-point range. He also dropped eight rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2.3 steals a game while appearing in 16 contests in March.
It makes one wonder what he could have up his sleeve for the playoffs in just a few weeks.
