Latto is pregnant!
The rapper debuted her baby bump on Instagram on Friday, sharing a photo of herself holding a lion cub. She captioned the snapshot, “BIG MAMA (the album) 5/29. Business & Personal (Intro) song & video out now. Thank you God .”
She also confirms the pregnancy in the new music video for “Business & Personal.” In one scene, a close-up shows male hands wrapped around her stomach. In another, she poses on top of a white Rolls-Royce wearing a polka-dot set, and holding a pink umbrella while proudly displaying her bump.
On the track, she raps, “car seat got a kid on the way” and “this baby ain’t slowin sh-t down but the horsepower,” while also talking about “tryna hide my belly” and going in “with nothing but some water and prenatals.”
The reveal quickly drew reactions on social media.
“We love you BIG MAMA!! AHHHHH CONGRATULATIONS
so beautiful, baby is already so loved,” one person wrote. “Loved seeing you smiling on live such a genuine happiness! Praying for you and baby!!!”
Another added, “Yeah!!!! BIG MAMA!!!!”
“Congratulations & welcome to the hood!! MOTHAHOODDDDD
,” a third commented.
Earlier in the day, Latto posted a teaser that hinted at the pregnancy announcement. The clip opened with her walking toward a lion cub and feeding it a bottle of milk.
“I ain’t go missing,” she said in a voiceoverr. “I had to give y’all time to miss me. Before you run the game, you gotta take baby steps to go the distance. Home to the studio, studio back home, listening to every beat, feeling every kick.”
“Ever since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of having my own,” she continued. “Big Momma. But this time the stakes way bigger. Now it’s on me to deliver.”
Last month, Latto fueled pregnancy rumors by wearing a prosthetic belly in a video. This time, there’s no guessing — Big MAMA is pregnant.
