Jack Wallace scored four goals to lead Team USA to a 6-2 win over Canada in the gold medal sled hockey game at the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. The two teams played in front of a packed Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena on Sunday.
Wallace, 27, opened the scoring for the U.S., wristing a shot from the left circle past Canada goaltender Corbin Watson in the first period.
Canada answered early in the second period with a power-play goal from Liam Hickey. Tyler McGregor worked around the rear of the net and found Hickey with a centering pass, who beat USA goalie Griffin LaMarre high on his glove side.

That was the first time in the 2026 tournament that the U.S. had squandered a lead.
Hickey finished with two goals, adding a score in the third period.
Team USA scored twice in the span of three minutes, 30 seconds toward the end of the second period. Kayden Beasley put the U.S. back on top, 2-1, and Wallace soon followed to give the Americans a two-goal lead.
With the gold-medal win, Team USA ice hockey also completed an Olympic hat trick in Milan Cortina with all three victories coming over Canada. The women’s ice hockey team rallied to win their gold, 2-1, on an overtime goal by Megan Keller. And the men also won gold with a 2-1 win in overtime on a score by Jack Hughes.
