A 30-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly firing multiple shots into Rihanna’s mansion in Beverly Hills, California. The popstar was reportedly at home at the time of the incident, which saw one round penetrate a wall of the house.
A Los Angeles police spokesperson told People that officers responded to the report of “shots fired” at around 1:15 p.m. local time on Sunday afternoon. No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspect fired multiple rounds towards the house from inside a white Tesla across the street from the property’s gate, the Los Angeles Times reports. The LAPD radio dispatch suggested that at least 10 shots had been fired towards the singer’s home.
The vehicle reportedly fled the scene, and officers in a helicopter followed its journey to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, about 8 miles from Rihanna’s house. The suspect was arrested there around 30 minutes after the initial 911 call. The LA Times was the first to report the arrest.
“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” an LAPD spokesperson said, adding that bullet holes were also found in a gate at Rihanna’s home and in an RV parked in the driveway.
A source confirmed to People that Rihanna was inside the property at the time. She lives there with her partner, A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers. The couple shares two sons, 3-year-old RZA and 2-year-old Riot, as well as a 6-month-old daughter, Rocki.
It is currently unclear whether anyone else was in the house at the time. A source told People that Rihanna is “okay.”
