The Golden State Warriors will be seeking a second straight win when the host the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the Lakers will be looking to avoid a four-game losing streak against a Golden State team that will be missing its’ best player – again.
Steph Curry ruled out vs. Lakers due to lingering knee injury
Star guard Steph Curry has been ruled out of the game against the Lakers due to the same nagging knee injury that has kept him sidelined for the entire month of February.
The injury has been labeled as right patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is also commonly known as “runner’s knee – an injury defined by pain and swelling around the kneecap area.
It will be the 10th consecutive game missed by Curry due to the injury. His last game action came back on Jan. 30 against the Detroit Pistons.

On the season, Curry has appeared in 39 games for the Warriors and he’s averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.
Curry’s absence against L.A. is obviously a bummer for fans who were hoping to see a showdown between two all-time greats in Curry and Lakers forward LeBron James. After all, we don’t know how many more of those we’ll get at this point.
The Warriors and Lakers are also scheduled to meet again in April, so hopefully both Curry and James will be available for that one. There’s also a chance that the two teams could meet in the postseason.
Entering the matchup on Saturday night, the Warriors are eighth in the standings in the Western Conference, while the Lakers are in the sixth spot.
