Taylor Swift has thanked fans as she achieved her second No.1 hit on the US charts this week with Opalite.
It marks the first time she’s had two number one singles off the same album since the 2014 release of 1989, which spawned hits such as Shake It Off, Blank Space and Style.
The feat – which followed lead single The Fate of Ophelia spending 10 weeks at the top of the charts – left the singer “bouncing off walls” in excitement.
“You guys just got this song!!” she told fans in a social media post.
“I can’t even sum up my excitement and I’m so blown away by the love you’ve shown this song and video.”
Swift shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the making off her album Life of A Showgirl in celebration to thank fans.
One image shows Swift in the middle of the album’s producers Max Martin and Shellback holding up filled glasses, though it’s not immediately clear what they were toasting at the time.

“To put this into perspective… This is actually the first time I’ve had two Hot 100 #1s off of one album since my album 1989 came out in 2014, nearly twelve years ago!
“I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms.
“Seriously bouncing off the walls about this!!”
Adding in reference to her viral music video for the song, “Just wanted to say THANK YOU, might go buy a giant pretzel at the mall to celebrate”.

The Opalite video was filmed inside a shopping centre in Croydon, London – which has seen fans flock to it following the clip’s release – and was an idea conceived during a chat show appearance.
Swift was on The Graham Norton Show when Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson said he was waiting for the call up to be in one of the singer’s music videos.
Not only did he get the call up for Opalite but so did the rest of the stars on the famous red couch, including Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee and Graham Norton.
