KIM KARDASHIAN AND YE’S DAUGHTER NORTH WEST LANDS RECORD DEAL

    -

North West is officially entering the music business.

The 12 year old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye has signed with Gamma, the independent company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson. Rolling Stone first reported the deal, noting that North has been actively recording and developing new material.

The partnership places her alongside a growing roster that includes Mariah Carey, Usher, Sexyy Red and Snoop Dogg. Her father, Ye, has also partnered with Gamma for the release of his upcoming album Bully, keeping the family aligned under the same distribution umbrella.

The signing follows a busy stretch for North. Earlier this month, she released “Piercing on My Hand,” reportedly through Gamma, with production from Ye and Will Frenchman. She debuted the track live in Mexico City during one of her father’s shows, performing in front of nearly 40,000 fans. The duo also perfermed “Only One,” the 2014 song Ye dedicated to her, along with ¥$ tracks “Talking” and “Bomb.”

Despite still being in middle school, North already has Billboard credentials. She appeared on Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Talking/Once Again,” which reached No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. She later featured on FKA Twigs’ Eusexua, delivering verses in both English and Japanese.

In a recent Rolling Stone feature examining celebrity children stepping into the spotlight, music editor Jeff Ihaza wrote that as “the celebrity children of the 2010s come of age and follow in their parents’ footsteps, we’ve arrived at the next generation of nepo babies.” He added that North feels “less a carbon copy of her parents than a Gen Alpha translation.”

Beyond music, trademark filings show that Kardashian has taken steps to secure multiple trademarks tied to her daughter’s name. She recently submitted three separate trademark applications for “NOR11,” covering everything from dresses, hats and loungewear to jewelry, watches, handbags and cosmetic cases. The name combines the first three letters of North’s name with the number 11, referencing her age when the concept was first developed.
