Shares screenshots in support of claims, says she received a restraining order in harassment case filed by ex-husband

Former Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim’s ex-wife, Sannia Ashfaq, has spoken publicly following her husband’s recent marriage to lawyer Nyla Raja, alleging mistreatment and lack of support during their relationship.
In a post on Instagram, Ashfaq said she was forced to undergo a traumatic abortion in December 2023, claiming the decision was made under pressure from Wasim rather than by her own choice. She also alleged that during her pregnancy with their third child, she was left without financial or emotional support.
“I was exhausted, emotional, and vulnerable,” she wrote, adding that she had repeatedly reached out to Wasim during that period. She shared screenshots in support of her claims and said she instead received a restraining order in a harassment case filed by her husband.
Describing herself as “a voice for women who don’t have a platform,” Sannia said her primary concern was the dignity and future of her three children.
“I was exhausted, emotional, and vulnerable”, she stated. Despite that, she shared screenshots that she repeatedly reached out to Wasim. She says she received no assistance during that period and was instead served with a restraining order of harassment filed by her husband.
Describing herself as “a voice for women who don’t have a platform”, Sannia says her primary concern is the dignity and future of her three children.
She has urged officials, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, to take note of the matter. She also called on authorities and representatives of Islamabad United to address the allegations fairly and honestly. “I am not seeking revenge”, she said. “I am seeking justice”.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Sannia accused her former partner of betrayal. She wrote, “Now everyone has seen the proof. This homewrecker never once thought about my kids. The cheater has finally been exposed and I want justice for my children and for everything we’ve been put through”.

Sannia’s accusations came in the wake of Wasim’s Instagram posts announcing his marriage to Nyla Raja. In a separate post on Instagram, Sannia wrote “In December 2023, he [Wasim] got my child aborted in Lahore.” She went on to write, “He’s a murderer, and I have a video that proves it. He cheated on me.”
Tagging Islamabad United, Sannia wrote that the team “has given a chance to a murderer and a cheater.” She ended the post saying “no cheater or murderer should get an escape.”
