Three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in Hollywood history, but have you heard of her three daughters?
Chances are you’ve seen their faces on your TV screens.
In the footsteps of their world-famous mother, Mamie Gummer, Grace Ronson and Louisa Jacobson lead some of the biggest shows of the past year. Their careers however, are only just beginning.

Grace Jane Ronson (née Gummer)
If her last name sounds familiar, it’s because Streep’s third child, Grace, is married to nine-time Grammy winner, musician and record producer Mark Ronson.
In 2026, Grace, 39, landed the role of Caroline Kennedy in the new Disney+ series Love Story, tracking the tragic romance of John F. Kennedy, Jr and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.

Her illustrious TV career, however, started in 1993 when Grace played a younger version of her mum’s character in House of Spirits.
She was credited as Jane Grey at the time, to keep her true identity private.
Streep has taken great pride in keeping her family life out of the headlines, a lesson she learned from her Out of Africa co-star Robert Redford.
“[He] taught me that when they were babies. ‘They are not your props’,” she told Good Housekeeping.
After losing her first husband John Cazale to lung cancer, Streep married sculptor Don Gummer.
The pair share four children, who they raised before separating in 2018.
Their eldest is son Henry Wolfe, the only one not to pursue a career in acting. He has, however, pursued a career in music, and two of his songs have featured in his mum’s movies.
As for Grace, she went on to win the Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut in the 2011 production of Arcadia.
Her well-known television roles have included The Newsroom, Mr. Robot and American Horror Story: Freak Show.
Mary Willa (Mamie) Gummer
She may have started acting at age three, but Mamie Gummer, 42, has found success in her own right.
Streep’s eldest daughter has credits in several TV shows including The Good Wife, The Good Fight and True Detective.
In 2025, she joined rising Aussie star Joseph Zada (who’s set to lead the new Hunger Games prequel) in the highly-anticipated series We Were Liars, based on the #1 New York Times best-seller.
But her first role was actually alongside her mum, when she appeared in the 1986 film Heartburn at just three years old.
Like Mamie’s younger sister, Streep chose to keep her daughter’s identity under wraps, crediting her as Natalie Stern at the time.

Mamie’s next major movie role came in 2006 alongside her mum and Richard Gere in The Hoax, joining her mum once more in Evening (2007), and Ricki and the Flash (2015).
Louisa Jacobson Gummer
Streep’s youngest daughter Louisa, 34, started her career on stage before taking over TV screens.
Her screen debut came only recently as she starred in the HBO period drama series The Gilded Age.
Her role in the period drama has seen her nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
In 2025, she joined Hollywood heavyweights Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans and Dakota Johnson in rom-com Materialists.
