The Delarose Sisters On Sustainable Luxury with Eco-Conscious Swimwear Collections

    -

In an industry often dominated by fast fashion, London-based designers Ivana and Valentina Delarose are redefining luxury swimwear through a lens of environmental responsibility and high-fashion aesthetics. As the co-founders and co-CEOs of The Delarose Sisters, the sisters have successfully merged their expertise in design, styling, and sustainability to create a brand that is not only stylish and on point, but ethically sound.

Operating from their London headquarters, Ivana and Valentina oversee every aspect of the brand’s creative and operational vision. Their role encompasses the entire lifecycle of a garment, from initial concept and research to final production.

“Together, we are responsible for designing eco-conscious swimwear collections from concept to final production,” said Ivana Delarose. “Our roles both include research and resourcing garment construction, fittings, and pattern development. We also lead the creative direction, runway and fashion show presentations.”

The Delarose Sisters have built their reputation on a foundation of sustainable innovation. The brand specializes in sculpting silhouettes produced in small-batch runs using regenerated fabrics, including materials derived from recovered ocean plastics. Their manufacturing process is notably conducted in a solar-powered facility, minimizing the brand’s carbon footprint.

This commitment to the environment is woven into the fabric of their new Oh My Cherry Collection, released on January 26, 2026. This Spring/Summer 2026 line continues their tradition of using eco-friendly fabrics and non-toxic dyes without compromising on style.

“We have primarily always focused on swimwear and beachwear but this year we will be debuting a release of evening wear with a more beach-to-bar feel,” said Valentina Delarose. “This will be made in the same conscious way… Our brand is perfect to pack in your suitcase while traveling to the tropics, the Caribbean or even just a weekend away in the summer.”

The brand’s unique blend of creativity and sustainability has garnered significant international recognition. A major career highlight was their selection to participate in Miami Swim Week 2025. Out of thousands of applicants, The Delarose Sisters were among only 100 designers chosen to feature in 50 runway shows.

The event was a resounding success, drawing an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 industry professionals from over 60 countries. The brand’s runway presentation generated over 200 million organic impressions on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, significantly expanding their reach into the US and Latin American markets.

Overall, Miami Swim Week 2025 generated an estimated $75 million in economic impact, with The Delarose Sisters contributing to the event’s massive digital footprint, which ranges between 1.6 billion to 6.2 billion media impressions annually. Over the past six years, The Delarose Sisters have become a leader in sustainable luxury in swimwear.

Both have a background in the fashion industry; Ivana Delarose is a respected fashion writer and contributor to prominent publications such as Grazia, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire, providing expert commentary on trends and sustainability, while Valentina Delarose is a graduate of the prestigious Fashion Retail Academy in London and has honed her skills as a stylist and creative director, including a project alongside Gary James McQueen, nephew of the late Alexander McQueen.

Beyond the visual appeal of their designs, The Delarose Sisters infuse their brand with a distinct musical identity. Both Ivana and Valentina are established DJs in Europe, a passion that influences their creative direction.

“The island of Ibiza was definitely a big inspiration behind the tracks used on the runway as well as our brand’s aesthetic, in general,” said Ivana Delarose.

Their go-to music is a “chilled deep house mix,” a sound they have brought to venues across London, Dubai, and Ibiza, including yacht parties and member clubs. This musical inspiration was a key component of their Miami Swim Week soundtrack, creating an immersive runway experience for the audience.

Stay tuned for their Miami Swim Week 2026 showcase this summer.
