New mum-to-be Sonam Kapoor showed off her baby bump at a recent event in Mumbai. Mumbai winter has been hitting this season, and the actor leaned into it as she was dressed in a winter favourite, a velvet maxi dress.
The actor, who is pregnant for the second time, had announced that she was expecting again in November last year. Sonam Kapoor and her husband, Anand Ahuja, have a son named Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, and they have a due date in spring 2026.
During the event, where she was named as luxury makeup, skincare, and fragrance label Lancôme’s newest Indian brand ambassador, Sonam Kapoor was seen caressing her growing bump as her modest, floor-grazing gown clung to her like a second skin.
The actor, who was last seen on-screen in AK vs AK in 2020, wore the curved soft jersey dress by the fashion label Alaïa. The dress, which is a part of their newer collection, comes with a hefty price tag of $7,450 (approx. Rs 683,035).
The 40-year-old is known for always keeping it fashionable and has been serving some killer looks during her pregnancy. She wore a long-sleeved velvet gown in a rich navy blue that made the glow from her pregnancy even more prominent. The maxi dress had a structured neckline with a deep scooped neckline that gave it an off-the-shoulder look, while it flaunted her décolletage and an even deeper back, which added sexy appeal to this outfit. It was cinched at the waist, which added some shape to the gown, and clung to the bump in a regal sort of way.
For the event, the Aisha actor was styled by her sister, well-known stylist Rhea Kapoor. The sister duo accessorised this look with a few pieces, which were blingy yet elegant. She wore a diamond ring with a blue stone that was surrounded by diamonds and a pair of dangling diamond earrings, which elevated the entire look.
Sonam Kapoor has been noted for her elegant and fashion-forward maternity style during this period. Her glam was done by the well-known makeup and hair artist Namrata Soni. Her pin-straight hair was kept simple yet sleek, while keeping the makeup dewy and fresh. The actor had a light dusting of pink blush on her cheeks with a nude pink gloss applied to her lips.
