Zayn Malik took a little dig at his former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, while he was on stage in Las Vegas.
The former boyband member was thanking his audience for coming to the show, before making the subtle but pointed jab at the ticket pricing outrage surrounding Styles.
After announcing his Together, Together 2026 world tour, which includes shows in Sydney and Melbourne, fans were shocked to find some tickets – predominantly in the US – were selling for upwards of $1000.
In between songs Malik – who looked the epitome of a Vegas crooner in his white dinner jacket with red flower in his lapel – spoke to the audience in a video shared to social media.
“Who’s from Vegas? Who’s from elsewhere? I just want to say a big, big thank you for being here with me tonight,” he said.
“Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high,” he added to a massive reaction from the audience, as well as high claps and laughs from his band behind him.
“Just saying – anyway.”
One person commented on the social media clip saying, “the shade was real”.

“I was there and it was pretty funny,” they said.
In Australia, Styles’ ticket prices range from $60 for restricted view seats, all the way up to $854.21 for the top VIP package, according to Ticketmaster’s website.
It marks the British singer’s first shows in Australia in three years, after performing around the country for his Love on Tour shows in 2023.
The Australian dates in November and December will wrap up the singer’s run of 50 shows in seven cities, and will follow the release of his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, on March 6.
Malik has spoken before about his struggles during his time in One Direction, which also included Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.
He ultimately left the group in March 2015, leading to the group splitting altogether that December.
In a 2017 interview, he said he wasn’t particularly close with the Watermelon Sugar High singer during their time together in The X-Factor-born boy band.
“To be honest, I never really spoke to Harry even when I was in the band,” he told US Weekly.
“So I didn’t really expect that much of a relationship with him.”
But at the time, he said he was “in touch” and “on a civil level” with other members of the group.
The last time the group were seen together publicly was at Payne’s funeral in November 2024, after the singer died at the age of 31 after a balcony fall in Buenos Aires.
