Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson‘s breakfast radio show was forced off-air on Wednesday morning.
KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show was hit with a severe technical issue on January 28, disrupting the show and forcing Sandilands off the air.
An Australian Radio Network (ARN) spokesperson confirmed the Sydney office was experiencing an “internet outage,” according to Media Week.
Sandilands, who was broadcasting remotely into the studio, was unable to connect due to the outage and it also caused several other on-air glitches.
Pre-recorded segments were played during the outage, however they were repeated and looped.
It appears as though the feed has since been resorted and the duo were back on air shortly after 8:40am.
“There was an outage impacting several networks across Australia this morning. Broadcasting has returned to normal and we will continue to monitor the situation,” an ARN spokesperson told nine.com.au.

The tech problems is just the latest issue to hit the radio duo in the first few days after their return to the airwaves after a break over the New Year period.
Last Thursday Sandilands failed to show up on-air after suffering a “fall”.
Speaking with a confused Henderson on the radio show as it went to air, newsreader Brooklyn Ross said “something’s happened to Kyle” before revealing that the radio host, 54, failed to show up to work after the incident.
“It’s been like stress and chaos,” Ross added.
Henderson, who had arrived to this morning’s recording confused, asking “What’s happened to Kyle?” appeared equal parts shocked and resigned as she learnt the news.
“He’s at that age where you don’t say they’ve fallen over, they’ve had a fall,” Henderson quipped.
One of the show’s on-air producers, who received a “very lengthy and detailed text”, confirmed that Sandilands had in fact suffered a fall.
“It’s really hard to say at this point. He’s just trying to recover because you’re right he did have a fall,” she said.
In a statement to nine.com.au at the time, an ARN spokesperson confirmed: ”Kyle suffered a fall at home this morning while getting ready for work and is currently at home resting.”
“As a precaution, he has not been on air this morning, however he may join the show later this morning if he is feeling up to it.”
It’s his second absence in recent weeks; he was also absent on day two of his 2026 return, which promoted KIIS Sydney to air a Best Of Breakfast show.
