Season one winner casts doubt on ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ season two

Mai Whelan won season one of Squid Game: The Challenge. Now, during season two, Player 287 raises doubts about its authenticity.

The winner specifically pointed out Mingle, the game played in episode four, as scripted in the interview with the Reality Alert podcast.

She questions the contestants’ decision to come together to protest the game. “How can anybody stand together when they signed up to play the freaking game? Like… “I refuse to play,” then eliminate all of them?”

However, several contestants from season two shot back at her. Anlenie, who is Player 405, says, “Nothing about that revolt was scripted. We can’t discuss the behind-the-scenes stuff because of NDA, but we were truly ready to walk. Production just spun it into a storyline after the fact. It was not scripted. There was also drama in Catch.”

Steven Jones Jr. (Player 183) pens, “Lmao. Mai has no idea.” His co-contestant, Curt Stinson (Player 370), shares, “You are 100% correct!”

“The money got to her head, Steven; she forgot where she came from REALITY TV,” Kevin Diaz (Player 402) also adds.

Squid Game: The Challenge season 2 is streaming on Netflix.
