Saquon Barkley is reportedly trending towards playing vs. the Giants.
Last season, during his return to MetLife Stadium as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, Saquon Barkley carved up his former New York Giants teammates to the tune of 176 yards rushing and a trip to the end zone as the enemy. It was a delicious feast for anyone who self-identifies as a Birds fan.
On Monday, as if seeing Landon Dickerson hobbled wasn’t concerning enough, there were questions about whether or not he’d miss the coming affair as he was reportedly dealing with a knee issue. Thankfully, those concerns may have been a bit premature.
The Landon Dickerson update is unfortunate, but here’s a silver lining. He isn’t out for the season. Hopefully, this allows him to rest and recover fully, as we’ve been concerned that he may have been more injured than the Eagles were letting on.
Fingers are crossed that Barkley will be available. He has struggled so far this season by his standards, but the Giants could play the sacrificial lambs. This may be the game that allows him to get on track and create some momentum for the remainder of the season.
