For George Clooney, his kids’ futures are still up in the air.
The 64-year-old recently shared rare insight into life at home with his and Amal Clooney’s 8-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, including whether or not they’ve already inherited the acting bug.
“I don’t know—it’s so hard to tell at 8,” George told E! News at the Sept. 29 New York Film Festival premiere of his new movie Jay Kelly. “They’re very funny kids, and they love to get up and sing. But you know, I hope they do exactly what they want to do in life, and that’s all you can hope for.”
And on whether they know about their parents’ careers—both George’s on the screen and Amal’s as a human rights lawyer—the Good Night and Good Luck star detailed a recent adorable interaction.
“They have some idea,” he admitted. “My kid came up to me the other day and said, ‘Papa what’s “famous?” Somebody in my class said you’re famous.’ I said, ‘Tell that kid I’m very famous.’”
