Another demonstration of her unparalleled brilliance in women’s boxing was witnessed by an enthusiastic crowd of 15,639 at Little Caesars Arena. Shields, now 17-0, made this very clear: she is not just winning; she is winning with style.

So what’s next for Claressa Shields? Judging from the energy she displayed immediately after that fight, she’s nowhere near finished. Rumors of a potential big-money bout against Laila Ali are swirling around, so maybe boxing finally gets that megafight it’s been craving. And judging by her motley past, Shields isn’t going to just be in attendance: she’s going to be putting on a show.
