To reminisce a bit about the band-aid-hot-hot-crazy era, Jesse McCartney released this beauty with the launch of the JMAC Insider App. The act of releasing juicy bait such as unreleased songs, VIP tour experiences, private live streams, rare candids, limited merchandise, and signed ‘Beautiful Soul’ vinyl records is aimed at bringing fans as close as possible to the artist. What a way to announce it! We see Jesse throwing a casual Anna Wintour besides-the-lawn selfie of himself in a floral shirt in the Insta announcement, looking like the latter charm throwing his own memories onto those hearts. The crisp white walls and white cabinets seen through the kitchen give the whole setting a lovely personal touch.

Commentaries began trickling in with one user screaming at the top of their lungs, hoping that McCartney would shortly release that ghost track, ‘No Days Off.’ Another user went rampant about the early-2000s fan club of his and deemed it a full-circle moment. Things weren’t so rosy for most, though, as some were complaining about tech problems like impossible perfection on password choice while other inmates refused to shell $65 for membership. Ouch.

International fans were also caught up. The Italian faction began inquiring for availability in their region, with one asking if it was US-only drop. McCartney has yet to confirm anything, but we know the demand runs worldwide. From far off came back a sassy comment: “Jeremy Renner, is that you? 😭” in reference to the failure of Renner’s app venture.

The app rumored to have controversial, unreleased tracks had been gaining momentum, with one reviewer streaming praises for ‘Diamonds and Gold,’ while others asserted that they couldn’t download the songs outside of the app. The Team Nostalgia brand was kept alive as there were several fans drawing comparisons between this and McCartney’s early-adult phase of a fan club all-time major for pre-teens circa Mid-2000s.

The bunch saw some snarky comments, but mostly the vibe running through these lands has been very positive. One sympathizer said they had “never downloaded an app so fast,” while others were begging McCartney to bring his act to Alberta the moment they sign. Whether it’s mainly for exclusive content or just the prospect of sneaking in some nostalgia of their untamed formative teenage years, the McCartney fan base is all set for it.

Of course, this isn’t just another throwback-theory-old-school approach; this is a smart pivot into an era wherein artists are looking to develop direct engagement from fans the most. Between the unreleased tracks and signed vinyls, McCartney’s giving his supporters all the reasons to remain hooked. If anything, going by the initial reaction so far, the JMAC Insider App may have been his best move since ‘Leavin’.
