Recently, Schwarzenegger has used her love for animals and storytelling to pen this newest children’s book, ‘Kat and Brandy.’ She reaffirmed in an Instagram post that the book is currently available for preorder and that it hits the shelves on November 4. The story is inspired by Brandy-the pony of Schwarzenegger. The story teaches children about bravery, conquering fear, and healing between kids and animals.

In her post, Schwarzenegger spoke about the animal care that had taught her vital life lessons of responsibility and discipline and the importance of forming emotional bonds. She further stressed how crucial those moments shared between the caregiver and the child are: be it outside, cooking, or just sitting down and talking. Illustrated by Petra Brown, the story is about a little girl who learns to conquer her fears with the help of a special pony-which Schwarzenegger hopes will empower young readers.
