Caleb Holt, the No. 15 player for the 2026 class, will visit the Plains soon.
Auburn Tigers basketball is scheduled to receive an official visit from one the top players in the 2026 recruiting class. Five-star shooting guard Caleb Holt will be visiting the Tigers along with Alabama and Kentucky per Joe Tipton of On3.
According to 247Sports, Holt is the No. 6 player for 2026 and would be a huge commitment for the Tigers. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has Holt at 36% to Auburn with Alabama next at 24.6%. Ole Miss is also in the running for the guard.
Holt is a 6-foot-5 guard with a wingspan capable of also playing at the small forward position. He recently transferred to play his senior season at Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after attending Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. He led Grayson to the GHSA AAAAAA semifinals this past season before being eliminated 68-53 by Wheeler. He is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 1 shooting guard and overall player.
Holt recently won a gold medal with Team USA when they defeated Germany 109-76 in the FIBA U19 World Cup. In a semi-final win over New Zealand, Holt led Team USA with 20 points in a 120-64 victory. How Holt performs with Prolific Prep will be interesting, as will his visit to Auburn soon.
Auburn has done well in both high school recruiting and making key transfer portal additions. The 2025 recruiting class ranked No. 15 according to 247Sports. A lot of fans and experts are excited about what guard Kaden Magwood can bring to the team this season. He has drawn comparisons to star guard Tahaad Pettiford. Auburn also has signed four-stars Sebastian Williams-Adams, Abdul Bashir, and Simon Walker.
