Peter-Henry Schroeder had died aged 90.
The Star Trek and Argo star “passed away peacefully” surrounded by his family at Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Centre in Florida on June 7.
His cause of death hasn’t been shared.

Schroeder was best known for playing Klingon Chancellor, a high-ranking member of the Klingon race in the Star Trek Enterprise.
The actor went on to star in the series Big Shamus, Little Shamus in 1979, and B.J. and the Bear in 1981. He also starred in Cheers in 1989 playing a maitre d.

His career included several movies including Three Days of Rain, The Protector, Gunslinger and Argo.
He also worked alongside Meryl Streep and Alan Alda in the 1979 film The Seduction of Joe Tynan.
The official Trek Central page shared the news of his death.
“We’re saddened to learn the news that Peter, who played the Klingon Chancellor in StarTrek: Enterprise’s Broken Bow, has sadly passed away aged 90.”
Schroeder’s last role was in 2020 when he appeared in political satire Sammy-Gate, the storyline of which involved singer Sammy Davis Jr causing the Watergate scandal.
The actor reportedly said that he had to “get back to LA [to work]” shortly before his death in hospital.
“When are you going to get me out of here, I’ve got to get back to LA [to work],” he reportedly said, per Deadline.
Schroeder was a veteran, having served in the US Army during the Korean War 1953 to 1955.
It was after returning from Korea that he began his career as an actor, filmmaker, producer and director working in television, movies, theatre and music.

He was famously mistaken for Jack Nicholson throughout his career.
Schroeder studied with the legendary Lee and Paula Strasberg who also worked with Marilyn Monroe, Dustin Hoffman and John Voight.
His obituary, which has been shared by the Human Animal Life charity of which he was a supporter, reported Schroeder saying: “I had a long and rich life, and I thank God for it.”
He is survived by his daughter Valerie Lynn Schroeder and his son Peter Henry Schroeder.

Schroeder was also a grandfather. He had two grandsons, Peter Henry Schroeder and Jarrid Michael Schroeder.
The actor was a proud veteran and worked to support other veterans via the Lake City VA group.
He will be laid to rest in LA, as per his wishes.
A ceremony with Military Honors to rest in peace at the VA National Cemetery in Los Angeles, California, will also be held, with details to be confirmed.
