Golden State Warriors considering 5x All-Star in NBA free agency

    -

The Golden State Warriors are still trying to figure out where things stand with restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga. That determination could have a major impact on the Warriors’ offseason.

However, the Warriors are still trying to build the rest of the roster around Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. That has them on the hunt to make roster upgraded in an attempt to improve upon last year’s elimination in the Western Conference Semifinals.

According to NBA insiders Sam Amick and Dan Woike, the Warriors are reportedly considering signing five-time All-Star Al Horford. The 39-year-old spent the past four seasons with the Boston Celtics, but now could be looking to join a new contender due to the expectations that Jayson Tatum will miss the entire season.

Horford is also under “serious consideration” for the Los Angeles Lakers too, who are looking to add multiple bigs to the roster this offseason.

A former NBA champion, Horford has enjoyed an 18-year career after arriving as the third overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Amazingly, he’s still averaged over 26 minutes per game despite being one of the oldest players in the NBA today.

While his landing spot is still unknown, expect the seasoned vet to prioritize playing for a contender over seeing a heavy amount of minutes this season.
