Drew Sidora’s newest work is causing a sparkling storm online, with the show and singer-actor-director above all, part ofThe Real Housewives of Atlanta cast, having released a project called I Did It To Me for streaming on iHeartRadio. The promo picture alone generates a huge storm; Sidora starkly clad in black, the tear in her eyes filled with dramatic makeup conveying the emotion.

This shot somehow straddles an alternate reality set in the wild; her long hair falls over one shoulder, a lace top or slip peeks out slyly from under a blazer tossed over one arm, and that hauntingly simple teardrop is way too smart to just scroll by. The caption, on the other hand, was quite simple: just a tag for Sidora, #IDidItToMe, and #NowStreaming. The real story, however, was in the comments.

One fan almost lost it: “So pretty, it hurts 😍,” while another commented, “Drew really is the best HW singer…Kandi is more popular musically but I think Drew is the best singer.” In response, a little war began in the comments as someone chimed back, “Both are very talented in singing; we shouldn’t have to make stupid comparisons and put one down like they’re friends!!” The Internet will always be wild and messy, but hey, passion is passion.

Then there is this one person who called it “what we needed 🔥🙌🏾🏆 A beautiful body of work,” which, at least, sums it up. Then again, someone simply poured out their heart and said, “Thank you so much Drew…I’m going through a divorce and your album has helped me remember who tf I am.” That’s what music really should do: It should be raw, real, and healing.

One fan went on to say that he had been listening to all 11 songs on loop, rooting for “CHICAGO SLIDE” and quoting lyrics like there was no tomorrow. And another admits that the music helped keep them afloat during a “dark storm”: on repeat. Implicitly, Sidora’s music affects people on such intense and personal levels.

There are even comments appreciating the aesthetics, with one singling out her hair as “goals for days.” Would it be right to ignore the hype person who crowned her with “Queen behavior right here 👑”? Because honestly, this woman rules!

The album seems to straddle the line between empowerment and vulnerability, a juxtaposition that seems to stir the hearts of her listeners. Drew Sidora’s latest work may not just be music-It’s an Awakening; and judging from all the buzz, these will live on for a long while.
