Katy Perry has issued an apology to one Aussie state in the middle of a performance.
The popstar is currently touring her Lifetimes concert around the country, so far having performed shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Now she is wrapping things up in Adelaide, but not before saying sorry to South Australia’s 1.7 million residents for almost skipping the state all together.

Perry had originally left Adelaide off her list of Aussie stops, until “this guy” told her she absolutely had to visit the city.
“I was actually doing a performance at the AFL and this guy comes up to me,” she explained, referencing her 2024 performance at the AFL grand final.
“And he’s like a big deal, he’s like a premier or something,” she added, before spotting South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas in the crowd.
“Oh yeah that guy, that guy that’s right here. Mr. Peter,” Perry continued.
”He goes, ‘You’ve got to play Adelaide. You’ve got to play Adelaide!’ and I was like, ‘Really? OK!'”

Malinausakas was in attendance at the show alongside his wife and four children.
Perry is set to perform for three more nights at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
But some fans were surprised to see the Teenage Dream singer take to the stage on Thursday night, after it was reported that she and her partner of nine years, Orlando Bloom, had split.
Multiple US outlets reported that the couple had “amicably” decided to go their separate ways, choosing to focus on co-parenting their four-year-old daughter, Daisy.
Just one day prior to the split making headlines, Bloom had revealed he was in Australia, taking Daisy on a trip to Kangaroo Island.
After being spotted in Perth earlier in the week, the Pirates of the Caribbean star shared lots of pics and videos to Instagram of he and Daisy meeting koalas and walking along the beach in the South Australian tourist spot.

“It’s just something about seeing Koalas in the natural habitat,” Bloom captioned a selfie he managed to take with a koala sitting in the background.
He also shared a pic of his daughter Daisy with a koala.
While Perry had been previously staying at a hotel on Kangaroo Island, there were no signs of the singer in Bloom’s posts.
He’s since jetted over to Venice, Italy, to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding solo.
