Misha Collins, undoubtedly better known as the beloved Dean Winchester of ‘Supernatural,’ appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, during which he imparted an odd talent: really doing the action sound effects in front of the microphone during ADR re-recording for his film ‘Countdown.’ The clip went viral immediately, getting showered with applause from several netizens and audience members who appreciated his talents in comedic timing and sheer dedication to the craft.

In the clip, he explained how at first he became convinced that he needed to physically punch and do the moves to get the sounds right. ‘I quickly realized, why am I sweating in a recording studio?’ he explained, then proceeded to show everyone how to voice the sounds by making exaggerated barking sounds: ‘Oh! Yeah! Oh, I love you!’ The entire crowd was in stitches while he taught them how to do it with him, having even more examples of just how delightful an individual this guy is outside of his acting career.

The comment section went on to continue showering praises, one saying, “Give this man an Oscar!” Another commenter humorously added, “Dean always slow that’s why he needed Sam by his side😂.” It seems the audience had so much fun that they kept repeating they enjoyed the interview, describing it as “hilarious” and “pure gold.”

Touching words came from an 18-year-old fan from Italy, who shared how Ackles‘ portrayal of Dean gave him strength in a very dark period of his life. “Tomorrow I have my final high school exam, and tonight I’m watching Supernatural again to find comfort and courage,” he wrote. “You have no idea how much strength your character gives me.” The heartfelt words speak volumes about the deep connection Ackles fostered with his audience over the years.

Others couldn’t help but black-and-white reminisce with a comment, “I remember loving him on DOOL in the 90s! He is still 🔥!” However, there were some fans who wanted to use the moment as a springboard for some future casting calls, with some suggesting that he should be the one to play Deathstroke for the DCU.

Interjection combined as much funly with nostalgic nostalgia to make the case for just why Jensen Ackles is so loved: Dry-humping demons or punches; he had better entertain, and in all indications by the fans at least, they would dearly love to see much more of his comedy behind the camera.

The Tonight Show truly proved a greater moment yet again, reminding us that sometimes the seemingly mundane—the man yelling “Yeah!” into the mic—really makes for brilliant entertainment. As for Ackles? He is here just reminding the world why he is this nation’s treasure.
