Georgetown’s Micah Peavy had predraft workout with Thunder

The 2025 NBA draft is a day away. Which means it’s that time of the year when prospects visit teams across the league to improve their stock.

The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the 2025 NBA draft with three draft picks. They own the No. 15 pick (via Heat), No. 24 pick (via Clippers) and the No. 44 pick (via Hawks).

The two first-round picks are interesting. The Thunder already have one of the deepest rosters. Fresh off a championship, don’t expect much roster turnover. Adding on several rookies might be impossible. But that’s all a pure assumption. Maybe OKC falls in love with a prospect in that range.

One possibility is Georgetown’s Micah Peavy. He reportedly had a predraft workout with the Thunder, per Locked On’s Rylan Stiles.

Peavy played five college seasons from 2020-25. He spent his first year at Texas Tech before transferring to TCU for his next three campaigns. His final year was at Georgetown.

Peavy averaged 17.2 points on 48.1% shooting, 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 32 games last season. He shot 40% from 3 on 4.1 attempts. He was also a 65.9% free-throw shooter. He also had 2.3 steals. The 23-year-old is a 6-foot-8, 220-pound guard.

The Thunder could add Peavy with the No. 44 pick in the second round. Or they could likely wait it out and add him as an undrafted free agent. He likely needs to impress in summer league to get added to the G League’s OKC Blue roster.

A full list of draft prospects that met with the Thunder can be checked here. The 2025 NBA draft is from June 25-26.
