The Denver Broncos are scheduling a pair of joint practices this summer, and at least one day has been finalized.
First, the Broncos will go on the road for a joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers ahead of their Week 1 preseason game on Aug. 9. The exact date for that joint practice has not yet been announced.
After that, Denver will return home to host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 of preseason on Aug. 16. Before that nationally-televised game, the Broncos will host the Cards for a joint practice on Thursday, Aug. 14, Arizona coach Jonathan Gannon announced earlier this week.
Denver will have open practices again this summer, but the capacity limit will be lower due to construction at the facility. The team’s joint practices have been open to fans in previous years.
The Broncos will close out preseason on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 23. After that, Denver will have until Aug. 26 to trim the roster down to 53 players. Up to 17 players who do not make the active roster could return on the practice squad.
