Luann De Lesseps brings glam and swagger to Long Island Pride this year, and she is not holding back. Before beginning festivities on the Long Island Pride festival on June 8, she declared that she would perform her cabaret show Countess Cabaret at The Paramount in Huntington. She gave her side of the hype to the world by writing on Instagram, ‘Happy Pride, my loves!! Talk about the perfect way to kick off the month!’

The video accompanying the post shows Luann in full diva mode, glamorous yet inviting every one of us to the festivities. “We are going to be celebrating gay all day,” she said. Then teasing, she announced, “You’re gonna have a blast ’cause guess what? Money can’t buy you class, but it sure can buy you a whole lot of pride to celebrate with.” Classic Luann, really.
The comment section was flooded with love and support, with many asking one question: Can we feel the excitement with you in person? A user wrote, “Can’t wait!!!! Wouldn’t miss the incredible @countessluann,” while another admired her looks bluntly: “Check on everything; hair, makeup, dress, and nails.” Excitement poured out on behalf of the reality stars from fellow reality host Judith Kasen-Windsor, showing that Luann’s appeal runs far beyond just Housewives.
Alas, not all comments can be described as gentle. One user dashed the celebrations when he asked, “When do we get to celebrate happy straight month?” The backlash followed as quick as a blink. Many turned down the remark, with one particular crushing one standing out: “Gay Pride was not born of a need to celebrate being gay… but our right to exist WITHOUT persecution.” Another added, “EVERYDAY is straight Pride month. Be GLAD you didn’t need a movement to protect your rights.” That does hurt.
The critic took another shot with his scorn, sneering, “God she sucks. Still singing the same crap after ten years.” Harsh? Maybe. But the ever-pro Luann never broke her silence and just kept shining.
Festival and Cabaret tickets are sold at the link in her bio for those who adore her kind of fabulousness. Whether you are here for the greatness, the antics, or just to see Luann get to work, one thing is certain—a very memorable Pride awaits.
