Akon previously gave a behind-the-scenes view of the new production, Hold The Umbrella, and it was sheer chaotic fun. Laughter ensues, scattered with bits of random wisdom and that Akon energy-the kind of energy that anyone who has witnessed the real man working in a studio with copious amounts of good humor can never forget. Ranging from jokes about African proverbs to some hyping of Gary LeVox from Rascal Flatts, this video really has a vibe.

The film opens up with Akon giving a teasing glare to the camera, fixing his hair for perhaps a minute. Then, in that span of time, he started thinking about the African-originated proverb on naming children: whoever names them might, in consideration of some level, give them traits. While giving that statement, Akon throws Umbra for the song title, and dark clouds roll in, with the universe itself determined to set the mood. Classic Akon.
It gets crazier as he starts recalling working with Gary LeVox. At first, Akon admits he wasn’t really sure who Gary really was until he figured out that he was the lead singer of Rascal Flatts. Back then, that was the icing on the cake. The excitement appears on his voice as he tells how the song got from a bit of country twang to an international hit. One can almost surely tell Akon lives for those creative surprises.
Elsewhere, the behind-the-scenes footage shows rehearsal sessions, sporadic dance breaks, and the masterful Akon just being crazy. At one point, he would start hyping up the crew about two-billion impressions like it was nothing. Then back to cracking jokes that made everyone laugh. This guy never really stops.

A comment even asked for an update on Akon City, that futuristic project he promised in Uganda.
