The internet has gone mad after SZA bagged one of the biggest awards. There was a desperate acceptance speech on her part as the great hype was muffled by the chorus of thousands of voices. She said, “I feel like this might be my first time at this award show. Thank you for producing the song. I’m really grateful to anybody that worked on this song just for the energy that was cultivated.”

The stage was entirely SZA: subdued, somewhat humble, and just a little bit eccentric in the best way possible. And indeed, such oddity from SZA stirred the fans to tears; reactions poured down social media with massive contribution toward this mood.
An enthusiastic user added, “When I heard your name, I started screaming and cheering soooo loud. You deserve it.” Another one replied, “I love you deeply; you deserve this and more,” which shows her fans are not merely respectful, but nearly poetic.
Anyhow, there were others that weren’t so poetic, and another fan took the liberty of being creative: “Looking like a full-course meal with ALL the trimmings.” Going along with it, this user seemed more concerned with safety than awards ceremonies: “Are you not scared of how sharp that award is?”
And somewhat brazenly, the next fan threw out a line in the middle of the congratulations: “Still got the same dream. I just wanna smash one time.”
Of course, not all were cracking jokes. Many used this occasion to reflect on SZA’s path: “Camp has grown so much over the years & I will be one of the many endorsing the collective awards that will come.” Another chimed, “Queen for a reason,” really, what else can you say?
But maybe the loudest one came from a confident voice that proudly uttered the following: “I’m meeting you in the real-life during Thursday of this week. Two days until we are meeting each other in San Francisco.” We’ll see about that!
Of course, this wasn’t just the crowning glory for the artist herself but in the historical context of acknowledging what everyone is currently favored for: whether it is the chart-topping hits or the late-night-chat-with-best-friends-kind-of-speech, SZA got the ability to turn the biggest of moments into intimate ones.

Judging from these reactions, this surely won’t be the last time she cuffs her crowd into screaming her name.
