In the social media world, Gargano essentially dropped a massive nuclear bomb that promised some big change after TLC. The cryptic tweet read, “We promised change after TLC. Change is on the way.” So, now, the whole wrestling world is abuzz.

Gargano has seen a lot of storytelling during his days in NXT and during his recent return to WWE, and he is now having everybody in a tizzy trying to figure out what that “change” really means. Mentioning “The Way,” which was his old faction, has gone viral and has got fans screaming. Some are adamant that this is the beginning of a reunion, while others think it is something entirely different.
A fan thought maybe Theory and Waller having some sort of tension might be the change Gargano talks about; “There’s friction between Theory and Waller right now. Could that be the change that’s on The Way?” It’s entirely possible as Gargano is acquainted with both those wrestlers.
On the contrary, not all responded favorably. One user requested: ‘Please go back to 205 Live with the rest of the cruiserweights so I don’t have to skip your segments anymore.’ Ouch! That’s harsh, but hey, not everyone’s a fan.
Most ranged from excitement to enthusiasm. “The Way is coming back Let’s Go!!” one fan exclaimed. “I like The Way this looks,” the second chimed in, diving deep into nostalgia.
Before all of this, there’s the matter of Indi Hartwell. Several fans were talking about her absence, one of them saying, “Can’t have The Way without Indi Hartwell.” Hartwell, currently in TNA, was a very active part of the original band, and her absence would be felt.
There was a little good-natured ribbing that also resulted. “You cheated, a girl had to help you win!” one person teased, referring to some of Gargano’s recent matches. Another wasted no time in saying, “According to the sign, Candice is the hottest thing on Smackdown right now.”
By contrast, not everyone agreed on the topic. One doubtful voice interjected, “What change? You always go back to old friends or gimmicks.” And with a valid point, Gargano did go back to old storylines some time.
Meanwhile, this tweet will bring hope for an Austin Theory reunion. “Bring Austin Theory over from Raw,” a fan pleaded. Theory was The Way in NXT, and his return would complete the group.
Too vague to get at all of the facts, but the hype is there all right. An actual full-blown reunion or just that honorary status would be enough acknowledgment. Any news like this means Johnny Gargano really knows how to get people talking.
Whatever this “change” is going to be, this wrestling world will be looking to find out. If it’s a “Way” thing, then fans would be losing their minds.

So, what’s next? Time will show. One thing’s for sure: Gargano has everybody’s attention. Exactly how he likes it, by the way.
