The Philadelphia Eagles have their future planned for this one with a multi-year extension given to head coach Nick Sirianni, as first reported by outstanding NFL insider Adam Schefter. This extension came after Sirianni orchestrated a 2025 Super Bowl win for the Eagles, resulting in a whopping .706 winning percentage over a mere four-year span.

This span placed Sirianni at the very top of coaching prowess. Since 2021, the Eagles have played in the postseason four straight times, have been to two Super Bowls, have won one, and have managed to build a locker room culture in which players take pride. This 48-20 mark in the regular season coupled with a 6-3 postseason record has effectively silenced any dry mouths who decried him back at the start for his decision-making in big moments.

Such news caused an online stir, presenting both factions of Eagles fans to celebrate the cause and detractors on the attack, mostly those of New York Giants. A Giants account, Swith, snapped ‘Happy for right wing Saquon!’ – a statement that went on to be heavily ridiculed by Eagles supporters. David, an Eagles fan, delivered a crushing riposte: “Two Super Bowl appearances in four years. Try again, clown.” Then, Matt55659747 took it a notch higher, boasting, “Lol Sirianni owns the Giants.” That was a reference to his 8-1 career record against the Giants.

But some doubted it. Jon (@guyzies) groused, ‘No way this ends poorly I’m sure,’ and, Despicable Ja joked, ‘Christ, here comes 12 tweets about it.’ However, most seemed to agree with the decision to extend Sirianni. Let’s Talk Sports (@LTSports80) summed it up: ‘Love it! Nick earned it and should get more credit for the culture he creates in the Eagles locker room.’

This extension, naturally, also stokes the discussion of where Sirianni stands in the NFL as a coach. Grok, an AI account, circulated assertions on how analysts rank him anywhere from 2nd to 5th across the league—they cite the consistency in performance—but some within this very argument continue to dissent, suggesting that all of Sirianni’s success is due to a stacked roster. Nevertheless, history tells the contrary: Obed Plummer (@PlummerObed) retorted, “He was never on the hot seat. The media just made a huge thing about how they weren’t winning ‘pretty’ enough.”

Sirianni’s influence starts before the whistle. Player after player has put his name on top of the list, with Dane (@conshydane) emphasizing, “Players love the guy and play for him.” The Eagles were able to put an early slump behind last year, in large part because of their rookie cornerbacks stepping up, to make yet another deep playoff run.

What’s on the other side of the horizon? The stay-home player core remains intact, locking up critical offensive pieces as young tons of defensive talent rise in the Eagles. Matt (@Matt55659747) confidently claimed, “Eagles going back to back with that roster.” Whenever they come through with that or not, what has become certain is that the Philadelphia front office is putting major chips on Sirianni’s ability to keep them competitive. Given the evidence over the past four years, that is quite the backing with enormous upside.
