The NFL Draft is over, but teams continue to add young players to their rosters before the start of offseason camps. The Kansas City Chiefs roster has flourished in these moments, finding undrafted hidden gems in past years.
The Chiefs’ front office hopes for continued success with the reportedly announced signing of former USC cornerback Jacobe Covington, as per FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz X account.
The 6’2 “, 200-pound cornerback with safety experience started his college career with the Washington Huskies. He transferred to USC to play the last three seasons, showing versatility as a safety and on special teams.
Kansas City added Nohl Williams during the draft and signed Kristian Fulton at the start of free agency. Covington is a player who can play multiple roles in the secondary and will have the opportunity to work his way onto the team with this deal.
