A couple in New York, used the services of an unusual event planner for their wedding that charged no fees for the occasion as they were earlier given a $5,000 estimate for the ceremony.
The couple — who was native of Poughkeepsie town — was worried that such a whopping amount would exceed their budget of $34,000 set for the wedding.
So they turned to the artificial intelligence AI chatbot, Cortese told the New York Post, saying: “I’m using ChatGPT to literally do everything for my wedding.”
The 32-year-old lady admitted that she had never used the free AI platform before her engagement in September.
She has become one of many others who opt for machine services rather than humans for such a big day.
She said: “I’m saving so much money. I don’t need a wedding planner. The AI does it all.”
According to a virtual wedding hub Zola, the majority of people are relying on automation for their celebrations.
Vice president of Brand Marketing and Strategy at Zola Allison Cullman told NYP that the convenience and efficiency of systems like ChatGPT relieve some of the mental load of hosting a hitching.
“It can help couples expedite more manual tasks [and] help wedding vendors draft detailed schedules.”
