Damian Lillard’s comeback is official, the Milwaukee Bucks’ all-star point guard will play in Game 2 of the Bucks’ first-round playoff series against Indiana
It didn’t take long for the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers playoff game to get testy.
Gary Trent Jr. and Bennedict Mathurin were issued technical fouls for their roles in the scuffle with just under 2 minutes left in the first quarter in Game 2 on April 22.
The incident started after Trent grabbed the ball away from Pacers’ Pascal Siakim, whose momentum took him to the floor of the court, as the two teams were fighting for a loose ball.
Siakim apparently took exception with the force that Trent used and immediately got up and approached him. Bobby Portis jumped into the mix to offer a barrier. Then things escalated.
Pacers guard TJ McConnell also grabbed Siakim to offer some separation.
After a reiew, the refs issued a double technical on Trent and Mathurim in addition to a loose ball foul on Trent.
The Bucks trailed the Pacers, 36-24, at the time of the incident.
