Quetta Gladiators’ spinner, Usman Tariq, has been reported for a suspect bowling action during his team’s match against Lahore Qalandars in the HBL PSL 10.
The on-field umpires, Ahsan Raza and Chris Brown, raised concerns over Tariq’s action during the match held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday evening.
According to the regulations, Tariq is allowed to continue bowling in future matches.
However, if he is reported again for a similar issue, he will face suspension from bowling. To resume bowling in official matches, he will need to receive clearance from an ICC-accredited laboratory.
The development raises questions over the fairness and legality of Tariq’s bowling technique, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds in the coming days.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and chose to field first
