Ryan Coogler’s ‘SINNERS’ Hits 100% on Rotten Tomatoes—Here’s What People Are Saying

Ryan Coogler’s recent directorial venture ‘SINNERS’ has seemingly irked quite a lot of people with its Rotten Tomatoes score of 100%. Much-awaited film remained really mysterious, generating diverse opinions some acknowledge it as a great work while others deem this all hype. One thing is certain: everybody’s talking about it.

Talking about DiscussingFilms really started to explode. For some like user @thakiddamar0, about praising Coogler’s credibility: ‘Coogler doesn’t miss. Man really built a perfect streak off passion, purpose, and powerhouse storytelling. If it’s 100 percent on RT, just take my money already.’//@groweart was on a similar wavelength with ‘I love this because that means we are going to have so much more Ryan Coogler projects. I can’t wait to see this.’

Some were raising eyebrows, though. @Fredoslo1 chimed in some skepticism, insinuating that if it is so much high in RT, maybe for let’s say disreputable reasons, ‘Usually when the score is this high, the movie actually drags in racism, besides actually focusing on a story being told. ‘Journalists’ and Rotten Tomatoes accept kickbacks to promote the movie. Or else, it’s a masterpiece.’ Oof. That has a take.

Then we have @KRATOJIRO doing the early bird thing: ‘Because I’m a real movie guy and a cinema lover, I bought my tickets two weeks ago when they first went on sale, and now everyone’s going crazy about them while I just sit back and chill.’ Nice, dude. @Jonatha80958138 also has their IMAX seats for April 22 booked. Now that’s dedication!

According to @Luna_Heavens_, following those reactions, some weird commentaries, let us say, went downhill into a reply thread. Too much drama, some insults were thrown to one another and completely irrelevant discussions on the same. Just Twitter.

On the flip side, @ahebwa49246 made it short and sweet: ‘This mf don’t miss.’ True. GIF courtesy of @keanuhixson, ‘It’s Ryan Coogler; this doesn’t surprise me at all.’

But of course, the real question lingering in the replies would be? @visialcalculus asked, ‘Does Ryan Coogler not know any other actors?’ Which… fair enough. The man loves his favorites.

Not much is known about the movie yet, and the buzz early on suggests Coogler may have done it again. Whether it holds or dips from 100—looking at you, @JamesMiley63102 and @William45589421 arguing—is an entirely different story because one thing is pretty sure: people will watch. And argue. A lot.

Here comes ‘SINNERS’ with the internet doing what it does best: overreacting, theorizing, and sometimes making sense. Stay tuned.
